Dear Members and Friends

Namaskar

We are continuing to carry out our programs and believe that with your support and help of
volunteers we will have success. We welcome any feed back and it can be sent to our website or
written in a suggestion book at the centre available during all programs. Part of this
communication has all the programs to the end of the year.

This is an invitation to all of you to write an article for this years' PATRIKA (2010). The main
theme proposed this year is “Hinduism and Environment”. The main theme is to discuss
directions given in Hindu Literature as to how we should react (give and take) with our physical
environment (the planet) and what are our responsibilities and our rights with respect to the
material world. The articles may be written by children or adults. The length of the articles should
be between 1500 to 2000 words or about two pages typed double spaced and may include pictures.
Since editing and printing take a lot of time, we would like to receive your articles by MID August
2010. (Extended to September 30, 2010). Please send your articles including the photo to -
RAJIV RANJAN (780 444 5897) rr_chaturvedi@hotmail.com OR KUMUD ACHARYA
(780 487 3735) kumudnacharya@gmail.com

This year we shall continue to print all members name, addresses and phone numbers in this years’
Directory – which is part of the Patrika. From general information, most members are in
agreement with this procedure. However, anyone who do NOT want their address and phone
published in Patrika directory, may request that in writing before October 10, 2010 to myself
(Jivan.kayande@gmail.com) Kumud Acharya (kumudnacharya@gmail.com), or Rajiv
Ranjan (rr_chaturvedi@hotmail.com).
Following are some of the upcoming major programs ; Navratri, Sharad Purnima and Diwali
details are enclosed.
If you have any special item that you wish to bring to the attention of our community please let us
know and we will try to include the same in our communications. At the end we request you to
visit the cultural centre/temple regularly and participate in programs. We need your support and
suggestions, and together we can make the difference.

With regards

(Jivan Kayande)
President
