Introduction Inform students we will be working on a new writing task this


(10 minutes) week.
Invite them to the back of the room to read a story.
Read 10 Things You Never Knew About Santa Claus.
Introduce new writing activity – 5 Things You Never Knew About
the Easter Bunny.
Brainstorm ideas as a class (what are things we never knew about
Body the Easter Bunny?). Write them on Smart board.
(15 minutes) Ask students to discuss with their elbow partner for 3 minutes
what ideas they like and if they can think of any others.
Have students write their 5 favourite ideas in their writing
notebooks.
Ask students if they have thought of any new ideas we didn’t write
Closure on the board and if they would like to share their ideas with the
(5 minutes) class.
Collect notebooks.
