IMAGINE CUP 2011

DIGITAL MEDIA
RULES & REGULATIONS

OVERVIEW

The world sees video everywhere. Our photos are online for our friends to view and every day we are checking
out the latest cool media files. In the Digital Media competition, you and one friend can form a team and create
a web video submission, share it with the world and collect ratings. Use the Internet to share your point of view,
explain, and touch on issues in our global society that relate to the Imagine Cup theme. Go big, go viral and
get the world to stand up and take notice of what you have to say. You’ll be judged not just on your incredible
video content, but also on the ratings you receive.

Remember that you have to convey a message in a brief period of time while also being visually and audibly
stimulating and interesting enough to those who watch your video to compel them to rate and share your
message.

The Imagine Cup 2011 theme is "Imagine a world where technology helps solve the toughest problems."
You can refer to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals as a point of inspirational reference. Note
that you are not required to address a specific Millennium Development Goal as part of your video, but you
must tell us how you would use technology to help solve some of the world’s toughest problems.

If you choose to compete in this Challenge, then you agree that your participation is subject to the following:

 The Imagine Cup Official Rules

 The Imagine Cup Digital Media Rules and Regulations described below.

If there are any inconsistencies between the Imagine Cup Official Rules, the Imagine Cup Terms of Use, the
Imagine Cup Code of Conduct and/or these Competition Details, the Imagine Cup Official Rules will govern.
