SEMI-DETAILED LESSON PLAN IN EDTECH 1

I. OBJECTIVES
At the end of the 50-minute discussion, the students should be able to:
 define still picture;
 determine its common forms and uses;
 construct sentences interpreting some pictures; and
 state the importance of using pictures to communicate a message

III. PROCEDURE
A. Preliminary Activities
1. Greetings
2. Classroom Management
3. Prayer and Quotation of the day
4. Checking of Attendance

B. Drill
Game Title: Be Imaginative!
Game Mechanics: The class will be divided into two (2) groups. The teacher
will post two (2) pictures and ask both groups to write 5 sentences for each
picture imagining the story behind it. The first group to finish the game
will be the winner.
C. Review
- What was our lesson last meeting?
- What is recordings and radio?
- How can we use it inside the classroom?
- What kind of learner is the target of recordings and radio?
- What is auditory learner?

D. Motivation
The students will watch a video clip “Memories of Life”.
- What is the video all about?
- What kind of presentation did you watch?
- What did you notice?
- How did pictures represent moments of life?
- The lesson objectives will be presented to students.

E. Lesson Proper

- What is a visual learner?


- Do you think you are a visual learner?
- Visual learners attend to information most effectively when they see
something, for example, pictures, diagrams, films and videos or
demonstrations.
- What is still picture?
- Still pictures are photography representation of persons, places
and/or things, and can be used to present information in all subject
areas.
- What are the forms of still pictures?

- Non-projected pictures can make your instruction more realistic and


engaging
- No equipment required
- Teachers can use these for learners of all ages.
- The transparent projected pictures can be presented in the classroom
or used as part of classroom activity. No need to use equipment for
observation so non-projected visual are easy to use.
- Projected visual are detained as media design in which still images
are enlarged and displayed on a screen.
- Supports inclusion of multimedia
- Supports interactivity: it easy to go to any slide in the presentation.
- We will focus on the common examples of non-projected pictures
- What are those?
- What is a study print?

- Can you give examples of study prints that you know?


- How would you differentiate it to an ordinary picture?
- What is a photograph?
- Can we find pictures in books?
- What is a textbook illustration?
- Why do you think pictures in this are always in black and white or
sepia?

- How can we apply our knowledge in pictures?

- These are only the common uses of pictures in teaching and


motivating the students, there are more that we can explore. Be
creative.
F. Application
The class will be divided in to two; the teacher will post one topic on the
board and each group will be asked to think and write a technique that uses
pictures in teaching the said topic. The students will choose one member to
explain it in class.

G. Generalization

IV. EVALUATION
I. Directions: Identify what is being described.

you think is the message of the picture you chose and the lesson that people
can get from it. Answer must be 2-5 sentences.
V. ASSIGNMENT
- Directions: Capture three (3) pictures depicting Joy, Nature, &
Education. Write a caption consisting of 3-5 sentences for each photo.

May 29 2017.
