II. Project Synopsis Details

Title of the project A study conducted to identify the factors which motivate the employees of The
Grand Bhagwati- Surat to work efficiently.

Objectives of the project To study the important factors which are needed to motivate the employees.
To study the level of financial motivation and non-financial motivation. To
provide the practical suggestion for the improvement of organizations
performance. To know what are the de-motivating factor in The Grand
Bhagwati. To determine what types of incentives and motivational techniques
can most effectively increase employee motivation in the company. To find
out the relationship between an employee’s age and his/her key motivator.

Problem Statement
A lack of motivation can lead to delays in the employee's completion of work
and is simple but expensive mistakes. It is the major task of every manager to
motivate his subordinates or to create the “will to work” among the
subordinates. And considering the strength of The Grand Bhagwati-Surat, it is
not facile to motivate them and to bring the best out of them. My study will help
me understand the techniques and methods used to handle employee
motivation in The Grand Bhagwati-Surat.

Methodology to be used
Research is a systematic method of finding solutions to the problems. The data
collected for the study would be by two sources: Primary source and Secondary
source. So, I would be considering questionnaires, discussion with the
management and personal interaction as my primary data source and company
websites, journals, and magazines as my secondary data sources. Through
primary data I would be obtaining the raw material which would help me in
analyzing the techniques and methods used as motivational techniques for the
employees of The Grand Bhagwati-Surat and the secondary data would guide
me in understanding the flaws that are present in there motivational
techniques. Sample size: my sampling size would be 50 members. Technique:
 The technique used would be bar graphs that would help me compare the data
achieved.
