EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

E & ME College (CEME) is a constituent college of NUST -- a federally chartered university – since its
formulation. After becoming a leader in imparting quality undergraduate and graduate education, CEME
is aiming at grooming visionary innovative leaders for sustainable development, intellectual and
important wellbeing of humanity. To this end, it wants to establish a company namely ICE2 that shall
focus on four critical dimensions: grooming moral humans, who lead life by design, to build inclusive
progressive communities ;(2) creating a pool of exponential thinkers for disruptive innovations; (3)
collaborating with communities and industry to undertake meaningful education, research and
innovation for society centric social, economic and spiritual progress; and (4) fostering an ecosystem
that germinates an entrepreneurial mindset for inventions.
The Vision of ICE2 is based on four cornerstones that can be realized by adopting carefully planned
comprehensive strategies.
1. Grooming Innovators and Disruptive Leaders
2. Promoting and Undertaking Society Relevant Research & Innovation
3. Developing Innovative Entrepreneurial Eco-system
4. Building sustainable and developed socio-economic system Families and Societies
ICE2, will provide an enabling environment that allows internees to explore with passion and pursue
revenue generating business startups.
ICE2 will focus on highly specialized research innovation and training with an emphasis on physically,
mentally and medically fit life society relevant quality research, Intellectual Property, and
Entrepreneurial Inventions. ICE2 will challenge the physical strength and intellectual faculties of its
internees and employees to solve real-world society centric complex problems. Suggest simple and
innovative solutions ICE2 will focus on team-oriented project-based learning and out of box problem
solving.
It will be an embodiment of an innovative ecosystem comprising following seven divisions:
1. Leadership and Adventure Training Division: Competent Human Resource Development though
leadership. Stress and physical endurance adventure based experiential learning;
2. Knowledge & Innovation Division: Investment in Disruptive Technologies by establishing state-
of-the-art interdisciplinary research center and anticipating emerging technologies through
systematic foresight analyses;
3. Technology & Project Management Division: Translation of high quality research and
innovation into impactful industry grade technology systems;
4. Intellectual Property Division: Protecting Inventions by applying suitable IP instruments;
5. Skill Development Division: Establishing skill-based academies in areas that are in high demand
in the global and local markets: for example, Graphics & Animation, Cybersecurity, and Data
Analytics and award skill certifications;
6. Startup Accelerator Division: Inducting a cohort of startups every six months to undertake a
yearlong mentoring and training program;
 7. Marketing and Media Division: Promoting the brand name of ICE2 and designing business
development strategies to sale or license Intellectual Property generated through research,
innovation and technology development.

Eventually ICE2 will establish an Innovation Park, which is an emerging trend not only in Pakistan but also
in most of other countries to incubate and sustain the innovative entrepreneurial eco-system. Being an
entrepreneur is still not considered a professional career path in Pakistan because of its high-risk factor.
Innovation Park will serve as an incubator and accelerator for ICE2 trainees, interns and employees.
Last but not least, the good governance of the ICE2 will be the key ingredient for promoting accountable,
transparent, efficient and effective, and equitable values among ICE2 community. ICE2 is key core values
for good governance are: Workplace Freedom, Shared Governance, and Merit.
To achieve the financial stability, ICE2 needs to raise PKR 450 million (approximately $4.5 Million). The
financial model and its professional analysis reveals that with this seed money, the ICE2 will achieve
financial sustainability within 5 years by spending 50% of the its budget on developing an eco-friendly,
purpose-built company campus in Islamabad. The majority of the rest of the money will be invested in
HRD, interdisciplinary research centers and its startup accelerator.
