1. Purpose:
The purpose of SimLab is to allow student teachers, to feel comfortable in a classroom environment.
It will allow them to be prepared for what they will get in a real-life classroom setting. Although
SibLab, is a virtual classroom with virtual students, student teachers will have an idea of how real
students will communicate and respond. Student teachers will also try to build relationships,
evaluate responses and observe actions throughout the session.
2. Evidence: The language used to interact and engage with students in session will be simple,
professional and sophisticated. Students will know who has authority and know what is expected of
them. It was simple to interact and engage with the session.
3. Introduction:
I will introduce myself to the class and tell them to give me five interesting facts about themselves.
Such as: their favourite colour, food, car, how many siblings they have and etc.
Students should be descriptive and use adjectives to describe their interesting facts about
themselves.
4. Sequence:

• Some students were getting off track and not paying enough attention
Did you ask the right type of questions or did you need to redirect the questions?
• Yes, I did ask the right type of questions, students were able to give correct responses to my
questions.
What about your tone of voice, were you too loud or too quiet? Did you listen? How will you
address this?
• The type of tone I used was loud and clear, I believe the students were able to understand
the instructions that were given.
