31950T Networked Enterprise Design

Assignment 1

Worth 15%
Assesses objectives 1, 2 & 4

Organisation

This assignment requires you to work within a group to produce presentation

and conduct a panel discussion during the relevant tutorial; you will be
marked individually for your active participation in both.

Due Dates

The presentation is to be delivered during the tutorial class on the due dates.
The due date depends on the topic you have been assigned to.

Students who for a valid reason (providing some form of evidence) cannot
attend their presentation may be given an alternative assessment task.

Your task

You are required as a topical group to produce 15-20 minutes presentation

addressing all aspects of your topic that are relevant to networked enterprise
design. You are required to incorporate all of the papers provided and also do
a little research on your own. The contribution of each group member should
be evident in the presentation and will be marked individually.

The presentation should contain a brief introduction to the topic and a short
summary of the papers; which should take no longer than 5 minutes. This is
to be followed by a discussion of the issues raised in the papers including
issues regarding this topic that came up during the lectures. After your
presentation, all the group members will form a panel, raise any issues they
would like to debate and answer any questions posed to them by their fellow
students. You will have to actively participate in the panel discussion.

You are also required to make available any material you produced for the
presentation, e.g. slides, on Blackboard for the use of other students. Your
mark will be withheld until this requirement is fulfilled.
