TVH HISTORY
Dear customer,
More than 40 years ago, in 1969, the success story of TVH began. Mr Paul Vanhalst and Mr Paul Thermote,
neighbours and school friends, joined their forces and started with the purchase and repair of agricultural
machines and used lift trucks.
Increasing industrialisation led to a growing need for lift trucks and lift truck parts. Slowly but surely, TVH was
growing into a global player, thanks to the success of the product and customer service, but also thanks to
acquisitions. TVH turned into an all-round supplier, a real one-stop shop, by adding hand pallet trucks, hand
trolleys, lifting cranes … to its range and by setting up a domestic rental division.
TVH Group is organized in 2 important activities: Parts & Accessories and Rental & Equipment. This last activity
has 3 divisions, namely Equipment Division (sales of second-hand lift trucks and aerial work platforms), Rental
Division (short- and long-term renting of lift trucks and aerial work platforms) and Service & Repair Division.
The Rental Division is active in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxemburg, Czech Republic, Germany, Poland,
Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Serbia. The Service & Repair Division is a service we only offer in Belgium.
The Parts & Accessories and the Equipment Division are active in more than 170 countries worldwide.
After all these years, the business is still in family hands and has grown from 2 founders, to a workforce of
almost 4000 employees worldwide, in 5 continents. The day-to-day management has now been handed over to
the second generation.

Warehouse applications favour the use of pallets and boxes. Reach trucks and
narrow aisle trucks are almost exclusively used for the transfer of goods to and from
stock. At altitudes above 6 m, it becomes difficult for the driver looking upwards -
to correctly judge horizontal movements (see 1). Such operations frequently lead to
material damages.
1. Driver’s view 2. High rack warehouse
Fork too far to the left
3. Exact horizontal and 4. Fork-mounted camera
Fork exactly positioned
lateral positioning,
independent of altitude
Using the special camera technology, the driver is able to exactly and safely
position the fork between rack shelf and pallet without any collisions when
transferring goods from the store (see 2). It is just as well possible to safely position
the pallet on the rack during the transfer of goods to the store.
This proves that using a side-mounted fork camera is the optimal solution for Fork too far to the right
almost all store applications.
The fork camera is mounted to the inside of the right fork, as far to the front as
possible due to the thickness of the fork (see 4).
The big advantage of this type of camera is that it provides the driver with a view
“through“ the pallet even while the fork is loaded, allowing for safe transfer of
goods even at high altitudes. Fork too low

The process of sulphation build-up is unavoidable. Worse yet, after 3-4 years the process accelerates substantially (thus the rapid
fall at this age in your battery’s productivity).
Process
Lead sulphate is removed by the electrical high-frequency pulsation process of the battery regenerator:
• The gravity of the electrolyte is increased.
• The internal resistance is reduced.
• Increased capacity of the battery (Ah).
• Fully automatic charge/discharge
We advice to always use the Battery Regenerator REPLUS together with the BMS system. (see elsewhere in this catalogue for more info
about the BMS system)
How it works
In total the process takes maximum 42 hours. In this 42 hours you discharge the battery 2 times and regenerate it 3 times. In both
discharge and regeneration mode you apply a special high-frequency pulse which is the secret key ingredient to desulphate your
batteries.
You can either program the regenerator from a distance with your computer (by means of wireless communication) or you can set
it on the machine itself.
When the process is finished, you download the data wireless to your computer or by means of an SD-card and then you can print
out a complete and detailed battery test report. On this report you will clearly see what the effect has been of the process, how
many Ah you have won and how many extra hours you can use your battery now.
• First method is the standard regeneration method where you will bring back the battery capacity after a usage of 3-4 years.
• Second method is the annual reconditioning of the battery. In this case the sulphate doesn’t stand a chance of entering the
battery.
Reconditioning regeneration
Reconditioning regeneration allows you to restore old (5, 6, 7 years),
medium to well-maintained batteries that have ‘silted up’ as a result of
natural sulphation, to a 90-100% productivity.
Maintenance
Maintenance regeneration allows you to keep your battery in optimal,
sulphate-free condition, by means of a yearly short regeneration.
APPLICATION FIELD
Every lead-acid-based battery that is commonly used in cars, forklifts, golf carts, reachtrucks, cleaning machinery, telecom
market …
• Starter batteries, traction batteries, semi-traction batteries, high power stationary batteries (UPS)

Result in detail
When you compare discharge 1 & 4 you see that the time needed to discharge the battery is much longer in step 4. This is a direct
result of the restoration on mode 2 & 3.
Comparing step 2 with step 5, you see that the set battery voltage is reached much later than in step 2. This means that your
battery lasts longer and will be in good condition again.

The system consists out of a number of voltage detectors that is equal to the number of cells. The sensors transfer the voltage of
each cell, wireless to the receiver (best to be performed during a complete discharge process). The receiver, connected to a PC,
collects the data.
If you use this system in combination with our BDX battery discharger or Battery Regenerator REPLUS you will be able to detect the
faulty element and increase the battery’s capacity.
Thanks to the software program that is supplied with the sensors you can now easily detect which element is no longer keeping
its charge and needs to be replaced or regenerated. The software checks the actual voltage of each sender every 3 minutes and
stores this value in a table. Color codes indicate the charge condition of each cell (empty to full) continuously, as a result of which
the performance curves are very detailed.

BATTERY REGENERATOR - ANALYZER
BDX
Battery discharger/analyzer
The BDX is an automatic battery discharger/analyzer, designed to test the
efficiency of industrial batteries of any type, voltage and capacity. This equipment
can be programmed to discharge the battery with a precisely controlled constant
current, adjustable from zero to the maximum rated value, while keeping the
battery voltage under control.
While the discharge is in progress, the control board measures the total capacity
(Ah) discharged from the battery.
When the battery voltage reaches the minimum programmed value, or when the
maximum programmed test time is reached, the BDX shuts down automatically,
while the measured parameters remain available to the user. The BDX is very
simple to use and doesn’t require particular training. The programmation of the
test requires less than 2 minutes and the operation is completely automatic.
