To identify and use the interrogative form of the verb HAVE GOT, PRESENT SIMPLE, FIRST
PERSON SINGULAR.
Topic
Asking about possession by using the interrogative form of the verb HAVE GOT, present simple
tense, first person singular.
WARMING UP :
I will put on the board the phrase “ HAVE YOU GOT A …? Followed by the pictures of 3 objects , I
will encourage students to Ask me .

Practice :
On the board I will stick the phrase HAVE YOU GOT A….? and the answers YES , I HAVE / NO, I
HAVEN’T.
I will have two bags of different colours ( blue and orange), each one of them will have 6 pictures
( 3 will be the same and 3 different).
Student A will take out a picture from the bag and will ask Student B if he/ she has the element.
St1 : ( blue bag) HAVE YOU GOT A CAMERA? ST2: NO, I HAVEN’T.
St 2 : ( orange bag) HAVE YOU GOT A HAT? ST1: NO, I HAVEN’T
ST3: ( Blue bag) HAVE YOU GOT A MAP? ST4: NO, I HAVEN’T
ST4: ( orange bag) HAVE YOU GOT A ST3: NO , I HAVEN’T
COMPASS?
(If it is difficult to make the first question and answer , I will guide them)

Production :
We are going to work with an activity that couldn’t be done . ( I will clean the board and write the
date ).
Me : Please, open your folders. We are going to work with the copy I gave you yesterday.
(I will show one sample of the following activity). After a few minutes I will ask : Who has
finished? . And we will check it on the board.

Alternative activity:
Me : Pay attention to the picture . You have to read the questions about the boy and the girl,
then you will write the correct answer.
