PAF KIET (CITY CAMPUS)

Brief Introduction To Organization

The organization in which I am working is basically a government organization

with requires extensive activities of maintenance and logistic to support its
operations. The organization is purely Government owned and related to defense
organization. This makes its working highly confidential, therefore its business
approach and marketing management requirements are limited. However the
organization has a very well structured information system, to support various
activities. The information system has number of subsystems related to HR,
accounts, logistic, maintenance, training, operations and various other activities. The
paper less environment is the basis of entire structure of the information system. In
this project I will give an overview the Logistic Management System being used in
the organization.
LOGISTIC SYSTEM OVERVIEW

1. The logistic system is the most structured information system among all the systems
in the organization. Its basic role is support the operations, maintenance and other support
activities of the organization. The most important subpart of the logistic system is its role
in supporting the maintenance of the equipment. The equipment being used by the
organization is highly sophisticated and requires exclusive spares and logistics to for
maintenance. The existence of the logistics management system is makes the process of
procurement and supply of inputs/spares extremely efficient. Following is structure of
logistic support system.
