ABSTRACT

Interleukin-6 is a classic pro-inflammatory cytokine which plays an

important role in helping an effective immune response. Interleukin-6 is secreted
by a variety of cell types, namely T cells, macrophages, fibroblasts, synovial cells,
endothelial cells, glia cells and keratinosit. The increase in Interleukin-6 may cause
hypoxic trofoblas. Hypoxia can trigger the secretion of pro-inflammatory cytokines
from fetoplasenta which will cause the rejection of trofoblas invasion so as to
trigger the cell to apoptosis. Hypoxia is causing damage to the blood flow towards
the uteroplacental, necrosis on superficial and undevelopment
syncytiotrophoblastic layer which can cause apoptosis mechanism. P53 gene is the
originator of the apoptosis intrinsic pathway. Increased expression of P53 can be
suppressed by administering Spirulina therapy.
This research is to know the influenc the granting of a therapeutic function
improvement against trofoblas Spirulina on pregant wistar rats (Rattus Norvegicus)
induced Interleukin-6 as seen from the expression of P53. The study of laboratory
experiment, by Post Test Only Control Group Design, tested by one-way Anova.
Sample form of wistar rats placenta tissue. The variables consist of Spirulina dose
(10 mg, 20 mg, and 40 mg) and P53 expression is measured with the
Immunofluoresense technique.
The results showed that on average the highest expression of P53 is on
Interleukin-6 group i.e. 1,261.746 and the value of the average lowest P53
expression there is of the Interleukin-6 + Spirulina i.e. 40 mg of 958.091.
The conclusions of the study results that the granting of a therapeutic dose
as much as 40 mg of Spirulina is able to improve the function of trofoblas a pregnant
wistar rats is seen from the expression of P53 which are declining.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is the leading cause of mortality and morbidity on maternal and

perinatal. At preeklampsia, a trofoblas invasion of failure occurred, vaskulitis,
thrombosis and ischemia of the placenta. According to the theory of placenta
ischemia, dysfunction of endothelial cells occurs due to the process of hypoxia.
Hypoxia in the placenta also cause apoptosis, especially via intrinsic pathway.
Preeklampsia endothelial cell dysfunction characterized by systemic and several
studies indicate that IL-6 plays a role in cell dysfunction. In addition to the IL-6,
IL-17 can also interfere with the function of trofoblast the time of pregnancy may
result in cell death repeatedly.
This research aims to know the influence of the granting of spirulina against
repair function trofoblast seen from the expression of IL-17 in Wistar rats (Rattus
Norvegicus) induced IL-6. The population of this research is the adult female
Wistar rats obtained from Laboratory Animals University of Gajah Mada Malang
with samples taken as many as 25 tails. Data analysis using statistical test of one-
way Anova.

The results showed the existence of therapeutic influence the granting of spirulina
against repairing function trofoblas in pregnant wistar rats (Rattus Norvegicus)
induced interleukin-6 as seen from the expression of IL-17.

ABSTRACT

Spirulina is a spiral-shaped, green algae, it contains a fairly complete

fitonutrisi and potentially as effective anticancer agent that is useful for improving
the health of intestinal bacteria, as a source of GLA (Gamma Lenolenat Acid), to
help lose weight, can help address the problem of poisoning and kidney cancer.
This research aims to know the influence of the granting of a therapeutic function
improvement against trofoblast spirulina on pregnant wistar rats (rattus novergicus)
induced interleukin-6 as seen from the expression of interleukin-10.
The population in this research is the adult female wistar rats obtained from
Laboratory Animals University of Gajah Mada to the number of samples as many
as 25 tails.
Results of the study indicate that there is a meaningful influence with sig. 0.011
(sig. < 0.05). Where there is a meaningful difference between treatment groups with
K P0, P1, P2 and P3, with proven value of significance smaller than 0.05 and
between a group of K, the P1, P2 and P3 do not have meaningful differences.
