FINAIS
A aparição de LR ainda é motivo de dúvidas em analistas
clínicos, o que revela a necessidade de se estabelecer critérios
para identificação destas células.
A cromatina frouxa e a basofilia de citoplasma são importantes
para a definição dos LR.
Quando presentes, os LR não devem ser negligenciados, e sim
relatados no hemograma como uma população leucocitária
distinta dos linfócitos normais.
Mesmo em crianças, aonde se espera o aparecimento de LR,
estas células devem ser relatadas no laudo.
A interpretação dos LR não difere de acordo com sua morfologia
específica de Downey, não sendo então necessário o relato do
subtipo de atipia presente.
Todo analista clínico deve adotar critérios firmes para
identificação de LR, e os mesmos critérios devem ser utilizados
por todos os analistas de um mesmo laboratório. Assim sendo, a
hematoscopia terá resultados mais uniformes e confiáveis,
aumentando a credibilidade do laboratório.
