TEST: PRODUCT DISTRIBUTION: THE BASICS

Recall that the transport network is the set of means that allows the movement of
people and goods between geographical locations, and that plays an important role
economically speaking and spatial organization.

It is also important to determine the appropriate network for the distribution of the
goods, taking into account the different variables to be able to choose the type of
transport, according to the product to be mobilized so that it arrives at its
destination without any setback and without damage or breakdown that can affect
customer satisfaction and the relationship between him and the provider.

Depending on the product to be transported, the transport mode must be defined,

the cost and the time predicted according to the distance between the origin and
the destination for the delivery.

Colombia is a country that has several loading docks, and because of its
geographical location, it should be the loading and unloading center for the
American continent, but I personally think that it still lacks a lot of infrastructure to
position itself among the countries with the best transport network.

In conclusion I can say that the transport network is composed of logistics

platforms, docks and terminals, modes and means of transport and these together
are responsible for preparing the goods for distribution at specific points according
to type.

The infrastructure of the road network such as rail, roads, airports, seaports and
cargo terminals, play an important role in the transport network as well as vehicles,
equipment used to load and unload merchandise . The human resource also has
great importance because they are responsible for the handling and transportation
of the goods.
