MINI PROJECT

Question

1) The mini project expects you to trigger the problems and analyze/design solutions
related to Mass Transfer processes to the problems. It must have the following
requirements;
i. The project must be done in a group of FOUR (4) students ONLY.
ii. Find THREE (3) articles (sources: magazines/ newspapers only) related to a
production/ processing or industries which implement the MASS TRANSFER
process that has been assigned to your group.
iii. The idea of the design must be original and not copying from any other examples from book,
journal or manuscripts.
iv. Plagiarism is prohibited.

2) Design Strategy

i. Discuss the nature of the industry or processing (C2: Understanding).

ii. Identify the equipment(s) involved/used for the separation process (C2:
Understanding).

iii. Analyze the problem based on the project task (C4: Analyzing).

iv. Generate possible solutions in the form of conceptual sketches OR suggestions OR

implemented solutions from the industry/processing (C4: Analyzing).

v. Submit a report as written evidence of the mentioned tasks undertaken successfully

according to the format as shown below.
