A recent survey by Statista
ranks Facebook as the most
popular social network with
over 1.7 billion active users,
holding 18% market share.
WhatsApp, which was ac-
quired by Facebook, comes
second at 11%. The report
also indicates that Internet
users have an average of 7
social media accounts, with
8 in 10 internet users glob-
ally using social networks
on their mobile devices.
Around 1 in every 3 minutes
spent online is devoted to so-
cial networking and messag-
ing, with digital consumers
engaging for a daily average
of 1 hour and 58 minutes.

In an exclusive interview
with the Gusii Star Mr Orora
termed the allegations as a
mere propaganda doctored
by his rivals to shut down his
dreams of ruling Kisii County.
“These allegations are
useless, malicious and are
based on falsehood with some
individuals who have seen
my candidature for the seat
as a threat”, Mr Orora said.

to extend the current ICT
