1. Fisht Olympic Stadium was originally constructed for the 2014 Winter Olympics
and Paralympics, but has been converted into a football stadium for the 2018
World Cup.
2. Eden Gardens also known as the "Mecca of Indian cricket" is India's largest and
oldest cricket stadium. The first cricket (Test) match was held in January, 1934
between India and England.

the stadiums used for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
6. Wimbledon Centre Court is considered to be world’s most famous grass surface
tennis court. It is the main court at Wimbledon Championship, the third annual
Grand Slam of tennis calendar.
7. Stade Rolland Garros is a tennis venue that hosts the French Open and has a clay
surface.

field hockey match Summer Olympics during 1972.
9. The Melbourne Cricket Ground in Australia, is the world's biggest cricket stadium
and has a capacity of 1, 00,024 viewers. The first cricket test Match was played
between 15th to 19th March, 1877.
10. The National Swimming Center, Beijing hosted the swimming competitions of
2008 Summer Olympics. Swimmers broke 25 world records during the 2008
Olympics.
11. Camp Nou found in Barcelona, Spain is the second largest football stadium in the
world.
12. The National Hockey Stadium located in Lahore, Pakistan is the biggest field
hockey stadium in the world. It is also known as Gadaffi Hockey Stadium and has
a capacity of 45,000 spectators. It hosted the 1990 Hockey World Cup Final,
where the hosts were defeated 3–1 by the Netherlands.
