welcome members old and new to come out to meetings and take part in the decisions your
clubs make each month. Meetings are a good way to socialize and get to know other members,
some of whom are at every meeting month in, month out. We know every member can’t make
every meeting, every month. Some members live further away—but why not review the calendar
and mark a month, or two, in the future you can and will attend, and follow through. Thank you.

Our 90 Anniversary Year has cer tainly been a gr eat
one and it was highlighted by the Fall Schwingfest!
What an “EPIC” event it was. The Schwinging, golf,
Alpenfest, Yodel Mass, friends, family, music, food and
cheer. It all led to a great weekend.
Our Fall Schwingfest is a celebration of our heritage and
tradition. It’s a tradition that started 90 years ago with
the vision and inspiration of our ancestors and forefa-
thers. It’s one we proudly continue to celebrate today
and this year I’m sure our ancestors would approve.
It takes a lot of work all year long to make an event such
as this the success it was. For that, It makes me proud
as a member to see everyone come together and pitch in
all aspects. It seemed whenever you turned around
someone was helping with something. This makes it
hard to even think of all the individuals to thank.
THANK YOU, to all of you young and old for volun-
teering to make the Swiss Park such a wonderful place
and our Schwingfest such a great event.
Thank You also to all the families, and businesses who
contributed greetings and advertisements in this year’s
90th anniversary souvenir book or who sponsored our
Golf Tournament. The golf tournament and souvenir
book were fantastic. And I still hear folks talking about
them.
As we close the year let’s not forget about the October-
fest coming up. Tickets are still on sale. This is sure to
be a great evening.
New Year dance and dinner is also on the calendar. Get
your tickets early and remember you can stay the night
in an RV slot as well.
We are very proud as a Swiss Club and community and
it’s in great part because of all of you. Let’s continue to
keep our Swiss tradition and heritage alive. The success
of the SSCT, as a whole, is truly a group effort.
I again say, Many thanks to everybody that participated
and volunteered at the Schwingfest and all year long!

SWISS SOCIETY OF TACOMA (SST):

A Benevolent Society for males bearing a Swiss surname. Life Member (age 16—60
YRS) $200.00, (age 61 & over) $350.00.

SWISS ENZIAN LADIES CHOIR (SELC):

Any woman interested in Swiss song is eligible to join. The meetings are every Mon-
day in the months of September—November and March—May.

SWISS SPORTSMEN’S CLUB OF TACOMA (SSCT):

A private Sportsman’s Club (Schwinging, Shooting, Hiking, and other things) for males
of either Swiss decent or married to a Swiss Miss. SSCT Members are eligible to join
the Mannherchor. Life Member: (age 18 YRS & older) $300.00, Junior Member (age
6—17 YRS) $100.00, and $200.00 due at age 18.

SWISS LADIES’ SOCIETY, HELVETIA (SLS):

A Benevolent Society for Women of Swiss decent or married to a Swiss male. Life
Member: (age 12 & over) $100.00.
