1) PURPOSE

This method statement covers on site installation of Indoor Light Fittings as

per the specifications.

2) SCOPE OF WORKS

The procedure will define the method to be used to ensure that the Indoor
Light Fittings are installed correctly and acceptable to the Client requirements
and specifications.

3) STORAGE

* Indoor lights are stored in clean, dry and ventilated place.

* Indoor lights and lamps are stored and kept on proper place.

* Make sure every type of fitting and lamp shall be stacked on one locations.

4) PRE - INSTALLATION

After finishing the pre-final coat of painting we will start fixing the surface
conduit and accessories for light fittings installation, fire alarm, and
PA System devices. Of course, the fittings which are coming in the false ceiling
should be fixed in the proper way with more supports if required.

* Make sure that the ceiling and painting work are completed before installing
the fittings.

* Check all opening preparation / marking are correct

* Make sure necessary support are provided for required lights.

* Prepare necessary supports for medical / surgical lights

* All light fittings that requires ceiling opening we mark the location, opening
done by the Main Contractor

5) INSTALLATIONS

* Recessed type light fittings.

* Fix light fittings support. Recessed light fitting and shall be supported
independently from ceiling. Down lights have mounting arrangements to
fix to the ceiling.

* Medical examination lights require the mounting brackets as per the

manufacturer recommendation.

* Ensure that fixed light fittings are aligned properly.

* Terminate power cable to the fittings. Ensure that terminate properly. Light
fittings body shall be earthed.

* Fix lamp on the fixture. Make sure install correct colour of the lamps.

Fix the diffuser and reflectors properly. Ensure that they are fixed properly.

Power up and check all installations are in order.

Request for inspection after completion

Surface Mounted Fittings :

Surface mounted fitting shall be installed after the final finishing work is
completed related light fitting installation are installed using wall plugs and
proper screws,

After installation proceed with testing and commissioning.

Rise request for inspection

Wall Lights / Flood Lights

Ensure that all related finishing work completed prior to installing wall
lights / flood lights.

Fix mounting breaker for wall lights / flood lights rigidly.

Fix fittings on the brackets, connect power cables ensure that termination is done
properly and also fitting properly earthed.

Ensure the lamps are as per specifications.

Power up and test the installation.

Arrange inspection for the installation

Documents / Checklist

* Check with the installatio as per shop drawing / construction drawings.

* Approved coordinated ceiling plan

* Approved material checklist

* O & M Manual for fittings

Internal Lighting Switches

Rating for the switches shall be 10A. Single and Multi gauges are as per the
construction drawings. Switches are generally installed 1200mm above the
finished floor

Approved type switches and sockets are installed at site. The light fittings are
controlled by local light switches

Install sockets and outlet boxes at required position, lay pvc conduits from
receptacle point to distribution units, conduit can be embedded into
the structural wall. Install pvc conduit to the boxes.

Ensure all switches / sockets are installed as per the requirements and as per
Construction Drawings.
