RESOURCE DESCRIPTION
Give a brief description of the technology/resource.

With Pear Deck, each student in your class will connect to your presentation on
any device, answer your interactive questions, and learn from their peer while
closely engaged! Pear Deck works like any slide presentation program you’re
used to. In fact, you can even import your old PowerPoints, Google Slides, and
PDFs to turn them into powerful interactive Pear Decks right from your Google
Drive.

INTEGRATION IDEA - PRESENTATION

How might you use this resource in a lesson plan to promote students’ presentation/speaking/communication skills?

I might use this tool to present PowerPoints. I will have the presentations
available on Google Classroom, so the student can refer to it at any time. I hope
to use presentations like this to help the visual learner. In addition, students that
are absent will be able to hear a recording that goes along with the presentation,
so they can listen to the lecture.

VALUE-ADDED EXPLANATION
 Based on the “value-added rating scale” above, how would you rate the technology integration you described, using the
selected resource?
 Explain your rating based on the rubric indicators.

Based on the “value-added rating scale”, I would rate this website a 2. I don’t like
that you must pay for it eventually since there is only a free-trial. Though I do
believe it will enhance the lesson to increase student engagement, because if
they didn’t get what I said in class- they will have another opportunity to listen to
the presentation on their own.
