For Windows XP:
Right-Click
Choose Properties
NOT SUPPORTED BY FANUC:
You can try to use a USB to Serial Adapter
Interface to get KFloppy to work on a laptop
without a Serial port. This is what seemed
to work for the RadioShack Gigaware USB
to Serial Adapter.

USB to Serial Adapter Software Driver Installation
Windows XP
Install driver on WindowsXP computer to make appear in Device Manager under PORTS once connected to PC
Under Ports disable the device listed for COM1 (temporarily)
Right-click the recognized RadioShack USB to Serial adapter and choose Properties
Under Advanced, set the RadioShack USB to Serial to COM1
Windows7 (XP mode)
Install USB to Serial driver within Windows XPmode system by copying software to folder on C drive of XP mode
Run WinXP Setup file in XP mode system
Attach USB to Serial cable to Windows7 PC
Go into Windows7 Control Panel and Device Manager to Disable the recognized RadioShack USB to Serial
COMX port (temporarily)
Unplug USB to Serial cable and then re-attach to same port.
In WinXP mode system click on USB at top of window and choose to attach to USB to Serial adapter
In WinXP mode go to Control Panel, Device Manager, Ports, and disable COM1
In WinXP mode Ports, right-click on recognized RadioShack USB to Serial adapter and choose Properties
Under Advanced, set the RadioShack USB to Serial to COM1 (you may try other ports, but COM1 works best)

NOT SUPPORTED BY FANUC:

Under Control Panel Choose System without a Serial port. This is what seemed
and then Device Manager to work for the RadioShack Gigaware USB
to Serial Adapter.

View PORTS (COM and LPT)


Right-Click and choose Properties then Advanced (each port)

disabled COM1 port (temporarily)

set RadioShack USB adapter to COM1 port (temporarily)


set FIFO buffers lower for kfloppy to work ...
