McIntyre/Nettleford Vice-Chancellors’ Scholarship

Name of Award: McIntyre/Nettleford Vice-Chancellors’ Scholarship

Number of award(s): Depending on the availability of funds, the award will be made annually
to one undergraduate student pursuing a 3 year degree programme.

Duration: Maximum tenure 2 years.

Value (per Annum): US$6,000.00

The award covers the following costs as estimated by UWI for UGC
funded programmes.

--tuition
--accommodation
--books and incidentals
--guild fees & miscellaneous
--possibility of a semester at Oxford (to be covered by UWI)

Eligibility: The award is available to a Full time undergraduate student who:

(a) is registered at one of the UWI’s on-Campus Facilities (Mona,

Cave Hill or St. Augustine).

(b) is entering the 2nd or final year.

(c) has a minimum GPA of 2.5.

(d) demonstrates financial need.

How to apply: Completed applications should be submitted to the relevant Scholarship

Office at the respective Campus on/before the stipulated deadline.

Method of Selection: The scholarship should be advertised on all campuses using all
University media.

Short-listed candidates will be interviewed by a panel

Including personnel from The UWI and donors.
