Project Coordinator
Background:
Ibtikar Khana seeks neither to operate as an incubator, nor as a training center.
It is not build to offer courses that merely build the capacities of start-ups and
entrepreneurs. Instead, it aims to serve as a comprehensive platform that
fosters, promotes, and encourages a culture of innovation and creativity in Egypt
and prepares individuals at all levels to critically assess their ventures at their
core, and effectively manage them to maximize impact and ensure sustainability.
Amongst other thing, it focuses on ensuring that all social innovators pass
through a necessary period of apprenticeship during which they will question the
assumptions upon which their ventures are built.
Ibtikar Khana is seeking a Project Coordinator who will be responsible for
implementing Ibtikar Khana’s capacity building trainings and monitoring and
evaluating the implementation. S/he will be responsible for setting up the work
plan and following up on its execution, managing the team in compliance with
the project’s objectives and developing strategies for the project’s
implementation.
The project’s duration is 36 months starting from November 2018 and the
premises is located in Maadi.
Position Title: Project Coordinator
Reports to: Ibtikar Khana’s Managing Director/ Project Director
Office Hour: 9 am to 5 pm, unless assigned to stay later to fulfill work
requirements.
Working Days: Sunday through Thursday, with Friday and Saturday off,
however during the trainings and the events, the candidate will stay as
required. Also, the candidate will travel inside and outside Egypt when
necessary.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Develop the project’s work plan with the Project Director/
Supervise the daily activities of the project to ensure that the execution
of these activities implies with the project’s vision and objectives.
Coordinate all the project’s team plans and activities.
Ensure that the project’s activities are implemented in accordance with
the project’s budget.
Monitor all the project’s activities during the project’s different stages,
evaluate every training cycle, identify the challenges and come up with
procedures to overcome them and report to the Project Director.
Document all the project’s achievements with the Events and Media
Coordinator.
Ensure that there is an effective system for the project’s documentation.
Draft the needed proposals and reports to current and potential donors
to ensure the project’s sustainability with the supervision of the
Managing Director.
Follow-up with the project’s beneficiaries and make sure that there is a
detailed database for all the beneficiaries with the IT manager.
Follow-up on all the related financial procedures.
Draft and send the needed periodical reports to the Project Director
and the donors.
Write monthly reports about the project’s activities and achievements
to the Project Director.
