(U) Mission (U/FOttO) ADET Center for Cryptologrc History (CCH) provides
objective, meaningful historical support to the National Security
Agency/Cenkal Security Service leadership and work force to enhance
decision making, cryptologic knowledge, and esprit de corps.

ru/iFeUO) ADET CCH advances an understanding of cryptologic


history for the United States Intelligence Community, the Department
of Defense, other government agencies, academia, and the general
ublic.
(U) Functions ' o (U) Conduct historical research and publish historical studies.
. (U) Publish Cryptologic Quarterly, the Agency's professional
journal.
o (U) Conduct an oral history program.
O (U) Respond to historical inquiries from the NSA/CSS Enteiprise
and the general public.
(U) Present historical lectures, exercises, case studies and the HIST
murses at the National Cryptologic School.
(U) Provide cryptologic history and heritage information to the
Agency's "new hires" during their orientation.
(U) Provide historical support to the National Cryp,-tologic
Museum.

(U) Definitions o (U) Cryptologic History is the preservation of the expefiences and
heritage of American cryptology, to be disserninated to those who
need to know it in a fashion appropriate to their needs; it
, concentrates, but is not limited to the NSA era.
(U) Cryptologic Quarterly is the NSA's professional journal, which
" publishes articles on all disciplines and activities represented within
. NSA/CSS.
. (U) Oral History is the preservation of cryptologic knowledge and
experience in NSA/CSS activities through in-depth interviews with
cunent andlor former ernDloyees at any level of grade or position.
