Buildings are designed to carry these loads and there are


many different regulations in countries around the world to
ensure that construction safety standards are met so that we
can live and work in them without fear of them falling on us.

In Hilti we are usually concerned with small elements of the


structure, but it is still important that we understand how loads
are transmitted to anchors and what sort of deformation could
occur.
