GREETINGS FROM TENNESSEE

I am grateful to address each of you again in this
column. For over twelve years I valued this privilege
and was always blessed by your affirming comments.
The day before we were to move I fell and broke my
upper right arm. After a weekend in Baptist South,
Helen drove us to our new home in Hendersonville,
Tennessee. Three months of immobility were followed
by six weeks of therapy. I have regained about 95% of
my mobility. A trip to the driving range proved that I
Ken May could hit a golf ball without pain. I immediately
Director of Missions activated my membership with the Country Hills Golf
Emeritus Course, a retirement gift from the Montgomery
association.
In May of 2017, I was called to
be interim pastor of Trinity
Baptist Church, a mere ten
minutes from our home. This
has been a blessing. We have
made many new friends among
this fellowship. I covet your
prayers for Trinity as they near
the calling of a new pastor.
Helen and I felt led to retire near
our children and grandchildren.
God has affirmed this decision
by the opportunities He has given us to assist with these precious gifts. We
were blessed this summer with the addition of two additional grandchildren,
a granddaughter born to Meredith and Nic on June 5, and a grandson born to
Jeff and Brittany on June 18. Jeff and Brittany with their two are just ten
minutes from us here in Hendersonville. Meredith, Nic and their three are
less than an hour away in Nolensville.

We cherish news from Montgomery and keep up with many happenings/ World Day of Prayer
friends on Facebook. I enjoy my occasional conversations with Neal
Hughes where I can catch up on the church progress in the MBA. November 5 9:30 a.m.
My involvement with the association as interim pastor shows many of the Engaged Christian Church
same issues locally as those explored during my years as your DOM. It is Fellowship Hall
imperative for the local church to be strongly connected with her 2877 McGehee Road
community through ministry and service and to keep the gospel as the An offering will be collected for
primary focus. If that is not the case, then every step possible needs to be the Baptist World 305 S. Perry Street
taken to restore that gospel focus. I pray God’s blessings on you as you Alliance Women. 334.834.6310
