A successful education system helps a nation to remain at par with international

progress through equipping its citizenry with the necessary knowledge and skills that is

vital for the strengthening of its labor force. Only a few of the countries worldwide have

been identified to have outstanding educational system. Countries like ours look up to

countries such as Hong Kong, Finland, and South Korea for benchmarking their

educational practices and incorporating it to what we have in our primary schools and

higher institutions.

Through comparing the educational system of best countries when it comes to

international academic standing, we can select a variety of educational practices to inject

in our current curriculums. Firstly, we have Hong Kong’s emphasis on diligence. Here,

the diligence of a child in his or her studies is anchored on the elderly’s encouragement

and support. Parents take a very keen interest on the schooling of their children since

their society see their youngsters as the personification of their social security blanket or

pensions. Investing on their children’s education is like investing also on their pensions.
