Global Teacher (Network teacher)

Global teachers is a set of essential knowledge, critical dispositions, and performances that help foster
development of learners' global competence.

Global teachers (should) care about education


as a whole, as well as their school and their
classroom.

 They just want to iterate that if the


person only looks at sharing and learning
globally, but cannot connect with those in their
classroom or school, I would not consider them
a “global teacher”.

 They just know that we are better when


we work together, not just taking, but
contributing.

 They know what they share makes a


difference for others, as well as knowing what
they learn from others makes a difference for
their school and students.

Curriculum Development Project World Studies

1. The study of culture and countries other than one’s own and the way in which they are
different from and similar from one’s own.

2. Study of major issues which face different countries and cultures

3. The studies of the exploration of the meaning of citizenship for young people today both in
their community and as part of the world.

4. The studies of the ways in everyday life and experience affect and are affected by the wider
world.
