B.N.M Institute of Technology is synonymous with excellence and expertise in the field of technical
education in the state of Karnataka. It was established in the year 2001 under the aegis of BNM
charities and is affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU), Belagavi, Karnataka, a
leading University in India. The vision of BNMIT is to be one of the premier institute of Engineering
and Management education in the country and is accredited by National Assessment and
Accreditation Council (NAAC) with grade 'A' status and an ISO 9001:2008 certified Institution.
BNMIT offers five undergraduate Programmes: Computer science and Engineering, Electronics
and Communication Engineering, Electrical Electronics Engineering, Information Science and
Engineering and Mechanical Engineering. The Institute also offers post Graduate programs in
Computer Science and Engineering, VLSI Design and Embedded Systems, Computer application
in Industrial Drivers(CAID) and Master in Business Administration (MBA). BNMIT has highly
qualified and experienced faculty members who nurture students in academics, cultural and
sports activities. Students have secured several ranks and gold medals in university
examinations.
BNMIT has a strong research focus with eight R&D centers recognized by Visvesvaraya
technological university. These centers have research grants from VTU, Department of Science
and Technology (DST) and Vision group of Science and Technology (VGST). The
entrepreneurship Development Cell (ED Cell) at BNMIT provides guidance and motivation to
young entrepreneurs for innovation, creativity, education, and research and community
engagement. Department of Science & Technology has funded INR 28.7 million for developing
student projects into products under New Gen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development
Center (IEDC).
Department of Management Studies
Department of Management studies was established in 2006 and within a short span of time, has
earned the distinction of being one of the best B-Schools affiliated to Visvesvaraya Technological
University, in the state of Karnataka.
The department has an intake of 120 students and has highly qualified and experienced faculty
members with an average experience of 16 years in industry and academics. International and
National level faculty research contributions, National level student fests, conferences, online
courses, Industry Interface programs are other prominent features of the Department. The
department has inked Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with IIMBx for offering ‘MOOCS’ to
MBA students and with Republican Institute for Vocational Education (RIPO), Belarus for
undertaking internships for Management and Engineering students. The students of MBA get
international business and cultural experience through these internships.
International Conference On Innovative Practices In Management And
Entrepreneurship
Since the beginning of 21st century innovation is been one of the fundamental aspects of industrial
and economic development policies in both developed and emerging economies. The political
agenda in most advanced economies always include programs aimed to improve innovation
capabilities of business organizations in order to create new products and services. Moreover, the
ability to innovate has been widely considered one key success factor of survival and performance
in business.
Innovative practices in Business management and Entrepreneurship is viewed as a new method
of creating value. The “International Conference on Innovative Practices in Management and
Entrepreneurship” hopes to unfurl a wider view of best practices in Management and
Entrepreneurship. The Conference will provide opportunities to share and exchange ideas,
emerging research and practices in all areas of Management and Entrepreneurship for
academicians, researchers and management practitioners from all over the world. Both empirical
and conceptual works are welcome
