Full Name  Steven Paul Jobs 

Lifespan  -February 24, 1955-October 5, 2011 


-Died at 56 years old.  

Early Family Background and Created Family  -Born in San Francisco, California to parents 
Structure  who put him up for adoption at birth.   
-Abdulfattah Jandali and Joanne 
Schieble 
-His mother wanted him to be adopted into a 
couple that was, “Catholic, well-educated, 
and wealthy.” (Steve Jobs) but this family 
decided to adopt a little girl instead. 
-Steve was then adopted by a blue collar 
couple who didn’t attend college. 
-Schieble refused to sign the adoption papers 
and they went to court. His new parents won 
as soon as they agreed to go to college.   
-He was raised in San Francisco in the 1960s 
by Paul Jobs and Clara Hagopian 
-Attended Reed College in 1972 before 
dropping out that same year. 
-He then traveled to India in 1974 for 
enlightenment and studied Zen Buddhism.  
-He used lSD and marijuana and called that 
one of the top three most important things 
he had done in his life.  
-Loved mechanics and electronics-highly 
influenced by his father at a young age.  

Major Career/Professional Events and  -Jobs and Wozniak co-founded Apple in 1976 
Accomplishments  to sell Wozniak’s Apple I personal computer.  
-They start assembling Apple I computers 
and sell them to computer hobbyists.  
-Becomes the first working graphical user 
interface as Xerox PARC 
-Took over Jef Raskin Macintosh business.  
-Most famous as a co-founder, Chairman, 
and CEO of Apple Inc and former CEO of PIxar 
animation studios.  
-He founded NeXt after resigning from apple 
in 1985.

Aptitude, Talent, and Interest  electronics-considered it “heaven”  
-Loving, family man 
-Had difficulty functioning in a classroom 
and tended to resist anyone in the position of 
authority or misbehave. (he was suspended a 
few times)  

Personal Life Themes/Beliefs  -He had a very stubborn attitude since 


childhood and this carried into his passion for 
electronics when he got older because he 
never gave up, even when he was diagnosed 
with cancer.
