As a nurse in the women’s and children’s unit,
Kimberly brings inspiration and enthusiasm
to her role. As part of the Perinatal Quality
Collaborative of North Carolina initiative, Kim,
who serves as team lead, recently developed
new tools and processes for emergency
treatment of mothers. Because of the example
set by Kimberly, a new process has improved
the care mothers now receive at VRCH.

My mom is awesome in more than one way.
She is a nurse in oncology at Vidant, and is also
working on her Master’s Degree at ECU. I am
super proud to call her my Mom. Every week,
she works long shifts and only gets 2-3 days
off. On top of work, she has to manage school
and two children, my sister and I. I would like to
tell her just how much we love her.

Lisa is one of the strongest women I know. She

an addicted son & is transparent about those
struggles in order to demolish the stigmatism
