SCHOOL-BASED LEARNING ACTION CELL (SLAC) ON

TEACHING TEACHERS ABOUT COMPUTERS

TO: All Teachers of Bunducan Elementary School

1. In line with the progressive implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum, in

developing technological proficiency among teachers and learners, this school will
conduct a SLAC on Teaching Teachers about Computers which will be on October 17,
2018 at 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM. We will convene at the Grade 6 building, 1 st floor, 6 –
Maalalahanin room.

2. This activity aims to:

a. provide appropriate assistance in reviewing the proper usage of the basic features of
Microsoft Applications (MS Word, MS Excel, & MS PowerPoint);
b. improve the teachers’ level of ICT skills and practices;
c. incorporate ICT into teaching-learning practices; and
d. increase learners’ interest in learning through using multimedia presentations in the
classroom.

3. Participants to this school-based ICT literacy training-workshop are the thirty-five (35)
teachers of this school.

4. Each participant is advised to bring a Wi-Fi-enabled laptop, pocket Wi-Fi, and an

electrical
extension cord.

5. Attached to this memorandum are the following enclosures:

a. List of Resource Speakers/Facilitators and Demonstration Teacher
b. List of Committees
c. Training Matrix

6. All expenses incidental to the conduct of this SLAC sessions shall be charged against the
School MOOE fund subject to the usual accounting and auditing procedures.

7. Immediate dissemination of this memorandum to all concerned is desired.
