2.6.2 Troubleshooting the Controller (CP-Cont) During Boot
It does not boot at all (nothing is displayed on the boot monitor)
Procedure
Replace the Motherboard and Memory in sequence. (PL 8.3)

An error has occurred during BIOS Power ON Self Test


According to the Chain-Link code for "External Device Error" displayed on the Control Panel
or the error message displayed on the boot monitor, perform the following procedures:
CAUTION Always turn the power and breaker OFF before removing or installing
parts. Even if the power is turned OFF, +24VDC is supplied to the
Motherboard.
Note To replace parts, follow the instructions in "Chapter 4
Disassembly/Assembly and Adjustment".
Note If you have switched the DIP SW, restore it to its original position after
servicing.

1. Check that +5VDC and +12VDC are supplied to the HDD.
→ If they are not supplied, refer to Wiring Data and BSD to check for the relevant
power supply system.

116-312 HDD Error 2. Check the IDE cable between the Mother Board and HDD for damage and the

→ If any failure is found, repair the appropriate part.

2. If the problem persists after the above procedures, replace the Motherboard.

1. Check the CPU Fan for dirt and abnormalities and clean it. (PL8.3)
