This workshop was part of KIUI, a serie of
workshops cured by orizzontale.org.

The task was to refurbish a square in a

neighbour where urban blight is a huge
issue.

We designed and build a site specific

system of benches using reclaimed
material, we installed the benches during
a public happening.

We aimed to revive the interest of

residents to live their neighbour, taking
active part in it.

Babel is an indipendent biennale of
Critical Housing, the matter of this fair is
the squat movement.

Our work take part in a wide calendar of

seminars and workshops focused on
social impact, network building and
alternative social and economic systems.

Within the week we designed and build

the foyer of TEATRO FORTE, an
indipendent theatre born inside Forte
Prenestino. We took the chance to live
inside the space and to define the project
both with resident and partecipants.

During the event we also presentend

opencrafts.org a parallel sperimental
project.

Opencraft was designed to be an

autogenerative container of pratical
knowledge, fueled by the network of
artisans, artists, hobbists, etc.
 Commons MAAM

Commons MAAM was a woodworking
and upcycling workshop made inside
MAAM, museo dell’altro e dell’altrove.

The location is an abandoned cured meat

factory, occupied by several ethnic grups
in housing emergency.

To preserve the inhabitant from being

forced out, Giorgio de Finis (curator of
MACRO museum) made this squat one of
the most important contemporary art
museum in Rome.

The space has collected works from

Pistoletto, Cuppone, Echaurren and
moreover.

Our task was to design and build a

playground structure, by upcycling
reclaimed wood, teching the basis of
woodworking to the partecipants.

foligno_2016
This workshop was part of week-hand, an
annual handmade fair in Foligno.

During the workshop we teached to a

group of young professionals and
students to design and build a
mutifunctional street furniture.

The product we imagined was giant a

system of tetris bricks that can be
configure in several ways, to became
benches, lounge chairs and tables, it
could also be used as kids playground.
 AltroDesign Week

AltroDesign Week was a multidisciplinary
workshop of carpentry, screen printing,
cyanotype, photography, engraving
printing and circular economy to design
and create a DJ set on wheels from
reclaimed material.

The van was made in 4 days, the desgin

was made by partecipants, our role was
to guide during the design and the
building process.
