B+T Group is pleased to submit this “Appurtenance Mount Modification Report” to determine the structural
integrity of the antenna mount on the above-mentioned structure.
The purpose of the analysis is to determine acceptability of the mount’s stress level. Based on our analysis we
have determined the stress level for the mount under the following load case to be:
This analysis has been performed in accordance with the 2012 International Building Code based upon an
ultimate 3-second gust wind speed of 128 mph converted to a nominal 3-second gust wind speed of 99 mph per
section 1609.3.1 as required for use in the TIA-222-G Standard per Exception #5 of Section 1609.1.1.
Exposure Category C and Risk Category II were used in this analysis.
All modifications and equipment proposed in this report shall be installed in accordance with the attached
drawings for the determined available structural capacity to be effective.

1) INTRODUCTION
The mount consists of sector mounts at 200 ft., attached to the tower at 17287 Highway 44, Prairieville, LA,
Ascension County. The proposed antenna loading information was obtained from KeyPoint Communication. All
information provided to B+T Group was assumed accurate and complete.
2) ANALYSIS CRITERIA
The structural analysis was performed for this mount in accordance with the ANSI/TIA-222-G-2-2005 Structural
Standard for Antenna Supporting Structures and Antennas – Addendum 2 using a 3-second gust nominal wind
speed of 99mph with 0.25” ice. A point live load of 500lbs was applied at the center and ends of the mount. The
analyzed loading is detailed in Table 1.

RISA-3D, a commercially available analysis software package, was used to create a three-
dimensional model of the mount and calculate member stresses and deflections for various loading
cases. Selected output from the analysis is included in Appendix A.

1) All modifications proposed in this report shall be installed in accordance with the attached
drawing for the determined available structural capacity to be effective.
2) If the loading differs from that described in Table 1 of this report or the provisions of this
analysis are found to be invalid, another structural analysis should be performed.
3) B+T Group certifies that carrier’s entire antenna structure will support the equipment
deployment.
4) No erection or modification of the structure shall be made without approval of the structural
engineer.
