You’re starting secondary course. Now it’s time for you to have more and more initiative and to
take control of what you need to do to improve your English skills! That’s the reason why you’ll
start with an overview of our Textbook and by practising your study skills.
DAY 1
Answer all the questions in your answer sheet
Keep one copy and hand in the other to the teacher at the end of the lesson.
DAY 2
Prepare a short presentation about the topic(s) in UNIT 1. (See instructions below)
Give your presentation and be ready to answer your colleagues’ questions.
3. In general, does the TB seem interesting to you? What attracts you, if anything?
2. Go through UNIT 1.
a. What vocabulary topics are introduced / expanded here?
b. What language points (grammar) are dealt with?
c. Take a quick look at the Study Tips. What are they about? Do you find them useful?
As you noticed there is an introductory unit both in your TB (pages 9-33) and WB (pages
4-11).
Do the exercises in sub-unit 0.3 (TB – pages 18-19).
