Agenda:
I Opening Message
1 1.1 Mr. Prasad welcomed all committee members and thanked them for
attending the meeting. He also thanked them for their commitment and
involvement in all the activities organized by the English Language Panel, school
and other departments. He also expressed his appreciation to Pn. Juriah and Pn.
Norliza on their successful HIP outreach collaboration programme with SK
Sungai Pasir Kechil last year. He hopes that all members will continuously
contribute for the benefit of the school.

II Confirmation of the previous minutes

2 2.1 Puan Norliza binti Bashfari presented the minutes and was proposed by Pn. Uma
Menon and seconded by Pn. Juriah binti Ahmad.

III Matters Arising

3 3.1 Pn. Juriah informed that the ULBI certificates has been completed.
3.2 English modules for upper secondary level and lower secondary level each form
will be completed by all English teachers after Chinese New Year. All members
may refer to the deadline.
3.3 NILAM Programme – There is no specific time set to carry out the NILAM
programme. All the members agreed that one teaching period should be
allocated in the time table for NILAM. So, it will be much easier for the teacher
to handle and monitor the activity.

IV Curriculum Issues/Headcount

4 4.1 The ETR for English (2018) is 62.41% and the GPA is 7.37%.

V ‘Program Peningkatan Prestasi/ intervensi

5 5.1 Mr. Prasad reminded that all members should follow the activities set by school. He
also informed that panel will buy the stationary for teachers to be used during PdPc.

VI LDP/CPD/PLC

6 6.1 Pn. Norazrin Abdullah SISC+ PPDKMY will visit our school and observe the selected
teachers.

7 7.1 All English teachers have fulfilled the 7 days LDP till date last year.

VII Finance

8 8.1 Mr Prasad informed that the panel will buy more reference books and work books
for lower and upper secondary students.

9 9.1 Pn Chitra suggested the panel to buy the PAK21 tool kit for each form and was
agreed by all members.

10 10.1 HIP Programme is inclusive of:

X “Pemantauan Kurikulum Berkualiti”

12 12.1 Handing in of exercises books


All teachers must hand in 10 exercise books from each class they teach enclosed with
the teaching contract.

12.2 All teachers must abide by the schedule set by the administrators.

XI RPH and Time Table

13 13.1.1 The tentative timetable has been distributed and all teachers should follow
strictly.

XII Use of Teaching Aids during PdPC

14 14.1 Teachers are encouraged to use suitable teaching aids and apply the 21st Century
Teaching approaches in the classroom.

X1 ULBI/ PBS PT3 and SPM Assessment

15 15.1 Mr. Prasad reminded all Form 5 teachers to complete the last assessment for ULBI
according to the schedule given. Pn. Juriah ensured that the certificates will be ready
before February 2018.

16 16.1 Mr. Prasad encouraged all PT3 teachers to expose the students’ to PT3 oral
examination to enable them to produce good speaking response.

XII Memelihara Masa Instruksional (MMI)

17 17.1 Teachers should follow the timetable strictly. The instructional time in class should
be fully utilised.

VII Other Matters

18 18.1 Pn. Juriah reminded the form 3 teachers to guide their students to prepare their
own reasons as required when they answer the essay section to get more marks in PT3
examination.
