Abstract
Technology and Information System (IT/IS) at this moment has
so many important roles for the business process sustainability. One of the use of IT and IS for the business process in reality is the implementation of ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) which is intended to facilitate the activity of the business process of the company. The implementation of ERP itself, of course, has already adjusted to the standard that has assigned by the company. PT. Farmasi, one of the company that is engaged in the pharmaceutical industry, is one of the companies that implement the ERP in their business process activities. Various business processes supported by the ERP is run every day, including the production process run by the Production division. The complexity of the production activity that occurs brings through the difference barriers between the standard procedures with the actual production activities executed. Therefore, there should be an evaluation to identify the problem, the cause and the impact of the problem to the business. One of the technique that can analyze the business processes based on a set of historical data contained in the ERP system called process mining techniques. In this techiques, there are several approaches and one of them is using the heuristic miner algorithm which has advantages in calculating the vii viii
relationship between activities in the business process. The
output of the process mining techniques is a business process model that can be analyzed and compared with the standard business process model that has been assigned by the company. After these techiques applied, the modeling and the analysis has been done to the model, there are several differences obtained. It has been discovered that there are some missing activities and there are activities that has different sequence as well. This problem caused by several factors, including the operational and organizational factors. With the knowledge gained, it can be deduced a conclusion that can demonstrate the actual performance of the production processin PT. Farmasi.
