DIRECTIONS: Take the 118/Ronald Reagan Freeway and exit Balboa Blvd. Turn north, driving 2 miles to Sesnon at traffic signal,
turn left going west .6 mile, turn right at park entrance. Attention teams: you can drive in and unload your team tent and gear
between 7:30a-8:30am. Access road will be closed for course until end of race day. Come early parking is limited in park, but
there is ample parking on the streets.

THE COURSE: The course is a mix of pavement, dirt roads and grass. Long straight paved uphill start turning onto dirt road.
Course is mostly flat and sloped grass picnic areas and lots of trees with some roots and bumpy sections. There is one stair set.
One double barrier section. Each lap is approx. 3.5km in length. Races are timed circuits on the course based on category.

THE VENUE: O'Melveny Park is located above Granada Hills in the San Fernando Valley. The park surrounds the Bee Canyon
watershed and abuts the Santa Susana mountain range below Oat Mountain. Hiking trails and fire roads invite exploration of this
672-acre park. Outside of Griffith Park, O'Melveny Park is the City of Los Angeles’ second largest park.

REGISTRATION: Save $$$ and time, pre-register on-line at: www.sportsbaseonline.comYou will be automatically entered to
win a CX frame! Series passes available. Online registration closes Thursday, October 14th at 11:59PM (Pacific). Race
Day registration is available opens at 8:00am and closes 20 minutes prior to each race start.

ENTRY FEE: Online entry $28.00. Race Day entry add $7. Second race entry is $5.00. Junior races (10-18) are $10.
Youth (U10) race is $5. Support Your Trails CX Race with a $10 donation and Junior race is FREE! No add’l fee for
Youth and Juniors. Kids Kross Race is FREE.. This is an American Bicycle Racing sanctioned event. You are insured, but no
license fee required to participate. Juniors must pay regular entry fee for category races if NOT entering Junior race. The First
Timer Race entry fee is $18.00. No one-day license is required.

RULES: Event held under ABR Cycling Permit. All 2010 ABR Cycling and CX rules apply. Event will be held rain or shine, no
refunds. Cyclocross and Mountain Bikes (no bar ends) are best. Bike and wheel changes are allowed in the designated pit areas.
Water feeds are allowed anywhere on course. Riders must wear helmets when on the bike at all times. Riders shall stay on the
course or existing trails. Respect the venue and local residents. Please do not preview or warm up on the course while a race is
in progress. Please show up early with plenty of time in between race waves to get on the course.

CATEGORIES & UPGRADES: This race is not eligible for USA Cycling upgrades. It will be considered for Series suggested
upgrades. Detailed information on race categories and upgrades can be found at www.AMBikeRacing.org

As a general rule, Road and MTB riders who race Cyclocross should be racing in categories as listed below. The Prestige Series
discourages sandbagging. Please upgrade when eligible.
Cyclocross Cat 1: Road Pro or Cat 1; MTB Pro Cyclocross Cat 2: Road 2; MTB 1 or 2
Cyclocross Cat 3: Road 3 or 4; MTB 1 or 2 Cyclocross Cat 4: Road 4 or 5; MTB 3; One-day

CYCLOCROSS RACING AGE: A rider’s racing age for the 2010-11 Cyclocross Season is the 'racing age' they’ll be the year of the
UCI CX World Championships which take place in January 30-31, 2011. Therefore, your racing age for the entire
cyclocross season is based on your age as of 12/31/2011.

RESULTS: Race results will be posted near the awards area immediately following each race. Please make sure to check your
results within the 15 minute posting/protest period or they will be final. Weekly Race Results and Overall Series
Standings are posted online at: www.SoCalCross.org
