Summary in English
Definition of pain:
Pain is an unpleasant sensory and emotional experience associated
with actual or potential tissue damage or described in terms of such
damage
Painful Conditions:
The unit deals with the following:
(include but not limited to)
1-Chronic Central Pain: Pain due to Multiple sclerosis, poststroke,
thalamic pain etc.
2-Chronic Facial Pain: e.g. Trigeminal neuralgia, Facial neuralgia
and pain due to Bell s paralysis, atypicah facial pain,
tempromandibular joint dysfunction, muscloskeletal pain,
sphenoplantine neuralgia, post-herpetic neuralgia, glossopharyngeal
neuralgia and other neuralgias, spastic pain, trigger points and
refractory cases of headache.
3-Chronic Neck Pain:
e.g.Cervicogenic headache, occipital neuralgia, CX facet joint
dysfunctions, atlanto-occipital & atlanto-axial joint pain, Cx disc
protrusion, Cx spinal stenosis (not amenable to surgery), Cx
discogenic pain &postlaminectomy syndrome spastic pain, trigger
point pain, Whiplash injury etc.
4-Chronic Upper &Lower Extremity Pain:
