1. Introduction
This method statement is developed to adopt a suitable, safe and effective method for
Unloading Material Warehouse & Workshop Steel Structure of PLTMG 20 MW
Langgur-Maluku.

2. Scope and Purpose

This procedure deals with unloading work for steel structure with excavation. It is
subject to revision depending upon requirements and site condition at the field in
consent with Safety Officer In-charge. The purpose of this procedure is to:
a. Provide approved, and controlled methodelogy for effective unloading material
works activities.
b. Bring uniformity in the job to supervision.
c. Minimize the error and non conformance.

The necessary safety precautions will be taken in selection of unloading machinery,

task briefing to workers and execution of work. The work indended to execute under
thi method statement will be carried out according to safety provisions.

3. Procedure (Lifting)
a. Clearence and baricade of field area is importane before unloading with nobody
around lifting area .
b. The spotter should be give sign to diver where the material should be unloading.
c. Unloading should be possible in dry condition. It shall be observed that rain may
change this situation.
d. Excavator position should be able to reach the material as well as length boom of
excavator.
e. Steel structure material should tie up well with Weber sling as required weight.
Than hook up at bucket of excavator with shackle.
f. Lift up material slowly from heavy vehicle to ground.
g. Make sure material has landing at ground and loose the weber sling from
excavator
