These lessons are designed to be like signposts that guide students to find out for
themselves the treasures of God’s word. Questions that prompt thoughtful class
discussion are surrounded by colorful maps, illustrations, photographs of Bible places,

and explanations that make the Bible text come alive!

A student who begins this series in the Nursery Class and continues through High School will learn:

• God’s eternal purpose for salvation

• Timeline of the Bible
• Memory work of important facts and scriptures
• Theme of each book of the Bible
• Bible light that exposes false doctrines
• The ever-present, constant freshness of the Bible

Plan of the Curriculum

Each workbook contains 13 lessons with enough material for two class periods. The lesson started
on Sunday can be reviewed, added to, and completed on Wednesday.
Beginning in the Nursery Class and continuing through Sixth Grade, a student will travel
chronologically through both Old and New Testaments four different times. New facts will be added
at each level so by the time the student enters the Seventh Grade, he/she will have a working
knowledge of themes of every book of the Bible, timeline of the Bible, and will have memorized
important facts and scriptures.
The series for Seventh through Twelfth Grades mixes topic studies with themes from different
books of the Bible. Topics like “Creation vs. Evolution”; “Evidences For God and the Bible”; “World
Religions”; and “The Holy Spirit” will be interspersed with themes like “Christ and the Church” (from
Ephesians & Colossians); “Necessity of Sound Doctrine” (from 1, 2 Timothy, Titus). This section is
labeled “Teen/Adult” because these workbooks will be useful in adult classes as well.
Twenty-eight faithful Christians from across the nation have joined together in writing these 64
workbooks edited by Robert and Arline Harkrider. Many others have joined with them by
contributing artwork, photography, maps, formatting, and encouragement.
