Leadership

Throughout my years at ISLC, I have been heavily involved in school events. Currently, I hold the
position of being Vice President of my school and Vice chair person of the whole Legacy
Complex. In order to hold this position, I must be determined, motivated, and have spirit to
succeed. Recently, the ASB committee and I had the opportunity to plan Homecoming at our
school. This was a tough and stressful event to plan, since we had to plan it with all three
schools. The day of the dance which was a Saturday, I arrived early to school to set up for the
dance and I also stayed after the dance to clean. Overall, the outcome of the dance was great.
ASB and I did a great job and plan to succeed in all the events we create.

During the summer, I volunteered as a CORPS camper at UCLA UNicamp. Corps is a program
that allows leaders to be able to help the young campers on activities and personal stuff in
general. I stayed in the San Berandino Mountains for 1 week without any cellular devices. It was
a great experience to be surrounded by nature and positivity of singing camp songs throughout
the days. As a Corps camper, I planned the Talent show event for all campers and set up the
performances. With the help with my fellow Corps friends, the event ran smooth and was fun!
Most of the campers at UNIcamp, had gone through rough personal problems. Being there for
everyone was heart filling, to help the children who were going through a tough time. As leaders,
we should help those in need of support and throughout the wonderful week of camp, i was
able to accomplish my goal.
