Method: Disc Comparator
Range: 50 ppb to 1000 ppb ± 50 ppb as Fe(II)
Testing Time: 10 minutes
Glassware Preparation Time: 30 minutes (hot
water bath) or 12 hours (digestion)
DESCRIPTION
Boiler systems are typically constructed of steel and
other iron-based alloys. When corrosion of pre-
boiler components or boiler internals occur, iron in
the +2 oxidation state is released into the bulk Fe(II) Iron Test Kit
water. This iron remains in the +2 oxidation state in
the low oxygen boiler environment. These fresh REPLACEMENT PARTS AND REAGENTS
corrosion products are detected by the Fe(II) test.
