the MDT (mobile Data Terminal) and M-Nav (Mobile Navigation and messaging device).

The core of the Navman Wireless vehicle tracking system is the sophisticated OnlineAVL2 (automated

provides you the tools to monitor, manage and communicate with your fleet.

OnlineAVL2 is incredibly easy to use with most of our customers up and running within an hour of the

HARDWARE

Qube 2

The Qube 2 is a discrete and compact real-time GPS tracking device

that includes a Wavecom modem, GPS receiver, processor,
integrated ConEx functionality (the ConEx provides the user with
multiple input, output and serial connectivity), configurable battery
backup and inbuilt GPS tamper notification. It uses the latest Telstra
Australia GPRS packet data technology to provide always-on, real-time communications.

Solid and easy to install, it is an in-car unit that is normally concealed within the dash of the vehicle
itself but can be fitted under a car seat, inside a glove compartment or in any other convenient
location. The Qube 2 allows automatic time/distance activity updates and independent location
queries along with providing vehicle location, speed, direction, stops and entry/exit information to
specific areas.

M-Nav 760 (Messaging & Navigation)

4. REPORTS

The following reports are provided as standard and can be set up to automatically be received at any
email address as a CSV, PDF or XML format.
Activity Report – details events that a vehicle/device or driver has generated for a given period. One,
some or all events can be selected for reporting.

Customer Site Report – this report shows vehicles visiting sites of interest (marked as ‘Site’, in blue on
the map). This report provides which vehicle has been to a site, when they arrived and duration of
their stay. This report can be configured to one vehicle to many sites and/or one site to many
vehicles.

Geofence Report – this is similar to the customer site report, but Geofences are fenced areas with
virtual borders (marked as ‘Geofence’ in orange on the map). Geofences can be used to mark, for
example a suburb, intersections and depot. You can also set up to receive a real-time alert (via pop
up or email) when this Geofence area is crossed. The Geofence report will show when and where a
vehicle has entered or left a Geofence; how much time a vehicle has spent inside the Geofence area
and how many kilometres they travelled within it

Idle Report – tells you when, where and how long a vehicle has been idling.

Mileage Report – details total mileage for a vehicle, including the total mileage if more than one
day/one vehicle have been selected.

Overspeed Report – allows you to identify every time a vehicle or driver was recorded travelling faster
than a defined speed. The report lists the date, time and location of speeding events.

Stop Report – lists every stop that a vehicle makes over a given time period and how long the vehicle
was stopped at each of those locations.

Trip Report – allows you to view vehicles/driver entire trip over a given period. Information includes
every trip made, every stop, how long the vehicle/driver was on site and how long the vehicle/driver
was driving for, mileage and the start/finish time– all in one consolidated report.

Speed Analysis Report – allows you to examine driver behaviour over time. It is different from the
Overspeed Report in that the Overspeed Report identifies specific instances of speeding. The Speed
Analysis Report provides a statistical representation of driving behaviour. The Speed Analysis Report
allows you to see how much time a driver spends operating in different speed bands that you define.

Unauthorised Event Report – reports on all unauthorised movement (as set up in ‘event alerting’ –
‘calendar’). You can schedule periods where no unauthorised activity should occur based on the
vehicle moving a certain distance or existing/entering a Geofence. This report is used to assist in
security management and highlight incidents of unauthorised vehicle use outside of business hours.

Message Report – reports on all messages sent and received by the AVL 2. Valid only if an MDT/M-
Nav device is fitted in the vehicle).

Event Alert Report – reports on all alerts that was generated based on the defined criteria’s set up.

Vehicle Maintenance Status Report – reports on the status (overdue, due, ok) of vehicle maintenance
issues for every vehicle that has been set up with it.

Vehicle Maintenance Log Report – reports information in the log completed when the vehicle
maintenance issue has been addressed.
5. Navman Wireless – Published Interface

The Published Interface is commonly used when a customer requires information that is not included
in the OnlineAVL desktop client software, but is collected by Navman Wireless and held on their
servers. For example, the Published Interface could be used to produce bespoke reports based on
data held on the Navman Wireless servers, or to take job information from a back office system and
send this out to a Navman Wireless data terminal in the vehicle at the push of a button. It can also be
used for more advanced purposes such as the collection and sending of serial, analogue or Digital I/O
data via the ConEX.

Information you can retrieve using the API?

• The position of your vehicles (Latitude and Longitude)
• Vehicle details for your fleet (Registration number, vehicle type, Vehicle ID, current driver
etc.)
• Today’s vehicle activity events (Event date/time, event type, position, speed, odometer etc)
• Data from the ConEX (PTO engaged, door opened/closed etc. - See ConEX section for more
information)
• Messages or responses from your drivers using the in-vehicle MDT or M-Nav (“Job
completed”, “En route”, “Available for work” etc. - almost any other bespoke message
required)
• Driver information and status using the MDT / M-Nav (Driver name, login failed, unknown
driver etc)
• Working time directive compliance information (“Driving”, “POA”, “Rest Break” etc)

Types of data that can be sent using the API?

• Jobs and messages to the in-vehicle M-Nav or MDT terminal
• Destinations to the in-vehicle M-Nav terminal using “Route to”
• “On” or “Off” output commands to the ConEX (E.g. Unlock doors, turn on light etc.)
• Serial commands to the ConEX
