PSYCHOLOGICAL ABUSE &
EMOTIONAL ABUSE
Physiological typically refers to the
intellectual abilities, or mental. While
Emotional typically hits a person’s
emotional feelings. It is a form of abuse,
characterized by a person subjecting, or
exposing, another person to behavior
that may result in psychological trauma,
including anxiety, chronic depression, or
post-traumatic stress disorder.
FORMS OF ABUSE
All forms of abuse are illegal this
includes;
PHYSICAL ABUSE – Also known as
domestic abuse or domestic
violence. Physical abuse is any physical
act or threat of a physical act designed
to harm another person physically.
SEXUAL ABUSE – Sexual abuse
includes any unwanted sexual act
forced on the victim. This form of abuse
is also often known as sexual
assault or rape.
VERBAL ABUSE –This type of abuse
occurs when an abuser uses words and
body language with the intent to hurt
another person.
ELDER ABUSE – This type of abuse
happens between an elder and another
person, typically younger, such as the
elder’s child. Elder abuse consists of
other forms of abuse perpetrated
against an elder
SPIRITUAL ABUSE –This type of
abuse includes attacking another’s
belief system, denying access to a

HARASSMENT

ancestry, place of origin, political belief,
religion, marital status, family status,
sexual orientation, physical or mental
disability, gender, age, or criminal or

BULLYING
-Is a distinctive pattern of
harming and humiliating others,
specifically those who are in some way
smaller, weaker, younger or in any way
more vulnerable than the bully. Bullying
is not garden-variety aggression; it is a
deliberate and repeated attempt to
cause harm to others of lesser power.
