1 Background of the Problem

Technology is used more and more in many work like , business, medical, architecture,

agriculture and even in academic. These help the each of us to make easy to do our work. And we

not make more time and effort to do things. The proponents think a system that can help the faculty

in Talaga Elementary School regarding to their enrollment and grading.

The Talaga Elementary School they start on year 2002 and they have a 100 plus students

that time. And that time they do it manually because it easy to monitor a few students. And the

past year until now they have 1498 students. Grade four and six there’s three section and grade

one, two, three, and five there’s two section. It difficult to them to monitor all students if they do

it manually. During their enrollment they use LIS or what we called Learner Information System.

In this system they cannot see the schedule and information of every students that enrolled. They

can only see the total of the students that enrolled. And the grading they do it manually. It’s made

more time and effort to finish.

The proposed system which is Enrollment System and Grading System for Talaga

Elementary School. The proponents would like to design more effective way to improve the

Enrollment and Grading by changing the system of Talaga Elementary School for faculty that

assign in enrollment and faculty that handle a class subject from manual procedure to automated

system. That provide more efficient and accurate data. That can help the teacher to make easy the

task that assign to them. And also, to avoid some erroneous mistakes on the results of the report

they made.
1.2 Project Rationale

The Enrollment System and Grading System for Talaga Elementary School is

designed for the benefits of the faculty and the students. The Enrollment System will be

beneficial in monitoring the information of the student and schedule of every grade level.

And the Grading System will be beneficial in monitoring of the activity, assignment, quiz,

seatwork, long test and quarterly exam of the students also the grade.

Elementary School.

 Transferring the Students data from LIS to this System

 To create a module that will record the students name, grade level and

section.

 To create a module that will compute the quarterly grade based on inputted
