Narrative Report of INSET (In-Service Training)

“Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” Benjamin Franklin

The teaching staffs of Pila Elementary School organized an interactive In-Service Training (INSET)
sessions regarding Classroom Management, Strategies in Teaching English, Computation of Mean, Median,
Mode, Awards and Recognitions and Contextualization and Localization.

The program started with a prayer led by Ms. Julie Ann Eugenio, Mrs. Alma I. Angeles Principal I
welcome everyone warmly on the first day. The first discussant was an invited speaker Mrs. Eleonor De Jesus
MT-II at Pulong Buhangin National High School; she discussed about Classroom Management and gave some
techniques for better classroom control. The second discussant was Ms. Ma. Evalyn M. Salva her topic was the
different strategies in teaching English. The third speaker was Mrs. Evelyn S. Cruz she discussed about Awards
and Recognitions followed by Mrs. Aileen Miranda she talked about computing the Mean, Media and Mode.
Lastly, Mrs. Leonila Dela Cruz her topic was Localization and Contextualization.

The INSET was conducted to keep abreast the school faculty with the latest trends and best practices in
different subject areas. The INSET has not only provided the participants an opportunity to gain new
knowledge, but also encouraged them to make a positive change around them. The participant also got an
opportunity to address the learning difficulties of pupils and can satisfy the curiosity of teachers to understand
existing issues in the school and how to address them.
