“Connecting to the UMPT board”

1. Use USB to Ethernet port cable to connect laptop with UMPT USB port

2. Open “Network and sharing center” to change laptop’s IP after connecting cable
3. Set laptop IP as 192.168.0.50, mask 255.255.255.0

4. For login, use local we LMT maintenance terminal software(https://192.168.0.49)

password: hwbs@com
User type: Local
 5. After login, we can see the tabs in the top

Provide the path of the software

6. Click on Device Maintenance>BTS Maintenance>Software Management

Enter Laptop IP as FTP server IP ware)/NodeB

Provide location of the

XML

Input the sotware version

as “BTS3900
V100R009C00SPC290”

a. Enter the laptop’s IP as FTP server IP, and username/password.

b. Download configuration file is the directory where the configuration file(.xml file) is located
c. Note that the xml file location must be located in the ftp working directory
 7. The default username and password of ftp server is:
Username: admin
Password: hwbs@com

Note: Working directory must be defined: directory where xml is located. SFTP icon is displayed
in bottom of the desktop once once SFTP is started

The progress of the configuration file transfer is shown and the success notification is also shown
 USING COMMANDS TO CHECK THE TRANSMISSION
1. Click on MML in order to run the commands.

2. Input the command: LST DEVIP

In the output window, 2 IPs can be seen: one for service, one for OM
3. PING from site to M2000 for OM and from site IP to ATN(SITE NEXT HOP)

PING: SN=7, SRCIP="OM_IP", DSTIP="M2000 IP", PKTSIZE=1500, CONTPING=DISABLE, APPTIF=NO;

PING: SN=7, SRCIP="SITE_IP", DSTIP="ATN_IP", PKTSIZE=1500, CONTPING=DISABLE, APPTIF=NO;

ATN IP is one less than the device IP. For example:

Device IP: 10.44.118.182

ATN IP : 10.44.118.181
“QUERING THE ALARMS”
Once you login to the Node, you can check its alarms by clicking on the ALARMS tab
“Checking the device panel”
Click the “Device Maintenance” tab as seen below to see the device panel status
