Uses of Nuclear chemistry

What is Nuclear chemistry

Hearing the word “Nuclear chemistry” makes me wonder how much I know chemistry. I grew up
knowing that nuclear is related to the nucleus of cells. Then as I grow older, specifically in my
Elementary and high school days, my alma mater taught me that the nucleus of cells may undergo
nuclear fusion or nuclear fission as nuclear reactions.

What is the purpose of clinical chemistry

According to American Nuclear Society, doctors used to conduct exploratory surgery to investigate the
body health problem of a patient but as technology evolve in the medical field; nuclear technologies
guided doctors to know the body health condition of the patient. Doctors use non-invasive procedures
such as X-rays, MRI scanner, CAT scans and ultrasound to gain knowledge for diagnosis of the body’s
internal processes and possible diseases. Currently, doctors apply more advanced nuclear technology
such as computers, radioisotopes, and nuclear medicine imaging like bone scanning, Positron Emission
Tomography (PET) and Cardiovascular Imaging to detect cancer and to obtain information in wide
variety of diseases
